How Did We Get Here?

I’ve titled this first blog How Did We Get Here? because clearly we are here together. I am writing, you are reading. I have something to say, and you might be here looking for something that pushes your leadership growth a little further.

So let me start with how I got here. I have been doing this “leadership” thing for a long time, not because I chased titles but because leadership has kept finding me. I have led at work, on boards, in volunteer roles, and now in executive leadership running a nationally recognized nonprofit in my hometown. Over the years, I’ve become clear on my values: purpose, authenticity, excellence, and now audacity. It is my belief that true leadership has nothing to do with a title but everything to do with how you show up and the values you operate from. Genuine leadership has nothing to do with power and everything to do with pushing people toward a common goal for good.

But how did I get here with a website, a consultancy, and a new lane that I did not even see coming? It has all happened quickly. It’s literally been a matter of weeks. What started as an idea for a presentation for young professionals has grown into something that brings together my past experiences and where I feel called to go next. I want to use my skills, expertise, and experiences (the good and the bad) to help leaders and organizations tap into a new level of boldness and purpose in their work.
